Who We Are
Director: Carl Andrews BA, DipArch, Pg DipArch, RIBA, AABC, IHBC, EASA
Carl graduated from De Montfort University with a BA in Architecture and later went on to gain a Diploma in Architecture and a Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Practice. He is a Chartered member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, registered with the Architects Registration Board and is an Accredited Architect in Building Conservation (AABC). Carl is also a member of the Institute of Historic Building Conservation (IHBC).
Soul Architects was set up by Carl after working for 16 years with a leading national conservation practice. During this time he gained an abundance of experience working on many well known historical buildings including Ely Cathedral and Weston Park Museum, Sheffield, this has fostered his love of old buildings and he is passionate about conserving them to the high standards that he demands.
Carl has extensive knowledge of historic buildings and their surroundings and understands that the designs of buildings are subject to constantly evolving issues such as planning legislation, environmental impact assessments and building regulations.
Carl has built lasting relationships with both clients and contractors alike, allowing him to work closely with them to complete first-rate projects.
Having worked with old buildings for many years, he has established a framework of historic building contractors and specialist craftsmen capable of delivering results to the exceptionally high standards that he expects.
