We are very excited to be working with the team at Fydell House following their successful Round 1 application to the NLHF for their ‘Fydell House – Gateway to Boston’s Cultural Quarter Project’.
Having been appointed following a competitive tendering process we are delighted to continue to support this very worthwhile project.
Following on from the Condition Survey that we undertook of the building for the Round 1 application, the project will see this heritage building conserved for future generations. The works will involve essential fabric repairs to conserve the papier mâché decorative ceilings and the scope will also look at level access and internal alterations to improve visitor facilities.
Listed buildings all come with their own unique challenges and improving access is a high priority. Level access on the approach and circulation within the listed building will have implications, but working with the Design Team this will be implemented within the parameters of the listed building.
