Great news for St John’s Church in Worksop – they have just received a single stage NLHF grant for the urgent repairs to the spire, and we are very much looking forward to working with the team in moving the project forward.
Currently on Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register, the urgent works will include the stabilisation of the spire and repair of the stonework.
Alongside the project, heritage activities will bring together the local community and explore the history of the church. A heritage programme will engage two local schools and the local Scouts, Guides and toddler groups and a Community Connect Café will open following completion of the works.
