Historic churches looked after by a conservation focused architect

Under the Inspection of Churches Measure 1955, each church must appoint a suitably qualified / experienced person to undertake Quinquennial Inspections of the church building and its curtilage. This is a personal appointment, and this role should not be delegated to another professional, even if from the appointed architect’s practice.

It is important that historic churches are looked after by a conservation focused architect with suitable experience and skills in the use of traditional materials and methods used on church buildings and we can confirm that all church work will be undertaken by our AABC Accredited Architect, Carl Andrews.

A mission to develop aspirations for historic church buildings

We have worked with church groups over a number of years and are very aware of the challenges that they face today. And although we see the relationship between the church team and the architect as firstly a professional one, we believe that growing that relationship is key to developing your aspirations for your church building to enable you to deliver the mission of your church.

Our initial consultations are free of charge and obligation – why not contact us to discuss your needs.
